We planned our route for the next day. The excitement of starting the Ha Giang Loop early the following morning kept us awake longer than expected.

Scenic Stops Along the Way
The road from Ha Giang City was smooth and scenic, with lush greenery on both sides. Mountains towered above, while valleys stretched endlessly below.
A Coffee Break with a View
One of the highlights of the morning was stopping at a cafรฉ perched high in the mountains. The view was surreal, with layers of hills disappearing into the horizon. We sipped on a cup of warm Vietnamese coffee, a perfect blend of rich flavor and sweetness. In that moment, everything felt like bliss.
Quan Baโs Heavenโs Gate
The next major stop was Quan Baโs Heavenโs Gate, a viewpoint that truly lives up to its name. From here, we could see shades of green everywhereโthe meadows, hills, valleys, and distant mountains. The beauty was overwhelming and we spent a good chunk of time just soaking it all in.
Lunch in Tam Son
By midday, we reached the town of Tam Son in Quan Ba District. This charming little town offered a variety of local food options. we chose a small eatery where we enjoyed a hearty meal of rice, vegetables, and grilled meat.
The hospitality of the locals made the meal even more memorable. They were eager to share stories and offer travel tips for the loop.
Riding Through Changing Landscapes
The afternoon ride took us through a mix of landscapesโrivers winding through valleys, terraced fields on hillsides and narrow roads carved into mountains.
As we climbed higher, the roads became windier, offering thrilling twists and turns. The drizzle added a refreshing touch and when the sun broke through the clouds, the scenery became even more magical.
Arriving in Yen Minh
By early evening, we reached Yen Minh, a small yet vibrant town nestled in the mountains. We checked into another homestay, where the hosts welcomed us with warm smiles and cozy accomodation.
